Hospital Aids are manufacturers and suppliers of evacuation equipment designed to assist in the safe removal of individuals from premises in the event of fire or other major emergency.
Our products are used by the NHS and private hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, schools, universities, councils and many other large organisations.
Our most well-known products are the Ski Sheet mattress evacuation aid - which is located permanently and unobtrusively under a patients mattress and is instantly available in emergency situations, and the Ski Evacuation Pad - which is used in cases where normal mattress evacuation cannot be carried out, due to narrow fire escapes and staircases or as an alternative to evacuation chairs.
In recent years we have introduced bariatric products to our existing range, which includes the Bariatric Evacmat - designed for use within healthcare facilities for the safe movement of very large individuals, and the EMS Bariatric EvacMat designed for use by the emergency services, for the safe movement, rescue or evacuation of large individuals.
We work with healthcare professionals and organisations to develop evacuation products to cater for all types of individuals, including patients with specialist or complex care needs, young persons and bariatric individuals.
Many of our products can be modified and we are able to work with you to build prototypes and variations to our standard range to meet your individual needs, if required.
